Overview
This release introduces significant enhancements to our POS system, primarily focusing on improved kitchen ticket printing and greater flexibility in modifier setup. These updates aim to streamline kitchen operations and offer more versatile pricing options for modifiers.
New Features
1. Category-Based Sorting and Display on Prep Receipt (v7.2025.08.07):
This feature has been supported since build v7.2025.08.07
- New Sort Option: Added a new option to sort items on prep tickets by category order.
- Location: POS Dashboard → Prep Printers & KDS → Kitchen Printer → Sort Option.
- Option: “Sort items by the order of categories.”
- Print Category Name on Prep Receipt: Introduced the ability to display category names on kitchen tickets.
- Location: POS Dashboard → Customize Receipt → Tab Prep Receipt.
- Option: “Print Category Name” (Default: No).
- Enhanced Kitchen Ticket Logic: When “Sort by category” is selected, items will be sorted by category. If “Print Category Name” is enabled, items will be grouped by category with the category name printed above the group.
2. Negative/Zero Multiplication Factor for Pre/Post Modifiers:
- Flexible Pricing for Modifiers: The system now allows a multiplication factor of less than or equal to 0 for pre/post modifiers when “Multiply Price” is selected.
- This enables advanced pricing scenarios, such as using a “No” modifier to subtract the price of an item (e.g., “NO Topping” with a -1 multiplication factor resulting in a -$2 charge for a $2 topping).
