Example: Setting Up Date Limit for Report Viewing
To illustrate how the Date Limit configuration works, let’s use an example where the date limit is set to 2 days.
Scenario:
- Employee: Leandro
- Date Limit: 2 days
When applied, this configuration allows Leandro to view reports for a maximum of 2 days. Here’s how it would work in practice:
Reports Available to View:
- Leandro can view reports for Today and Yesterday.
- If Leandro selects a custom date range, the total number of days covered by the selected range cannot exceed 2 days. For instance:
- Allowed Custom Range: Viewing reports from November 18, 2024, to November 19, 2024 (total of 2 days).
- Not Allowed Custom Range: Attempting to view reports from November 17, 2024, to November 19, 2024 (total of 3 days).
Note: If you set the date limit to 0 days, Leandro would have unlimited access to historical reports without any restrictions on the date range. This setting is useful when employees need broader report access as part of their role.
By following these steps, administrators can efficiently manage employee authentication, control access permissions, and tailor configurations for individual employees in POS Express. This ensures security and streamlined operations within your business environment.
