Overview

This release introduces the Category Discount – Fixed Amount Mode feature, designed to boost sales and enhance customer experience by offering automatic fixed-amount discounts when customers purchase a minimum quantity of items from a specific category. This feature is now available across POS, QOrder (v11.1), and KIOSK.

New Features

• Category Discount – Fixed Amount Mode:
  • Managers can now configure a fixed-amount discount (e.g., $2 off per item) that applies automatically when customers purchase a minimum quantity of items from a designated category.
  • Discounts are applied per item.
  • Configuration is managed via the POS Dashboard.
  • Option to include or exclude modifiers from the discount calculation is available.

Improvements

• Discount Application Logic:
  • Enhanced logic for applying fixed-amount category discounts:
    • The discount is first applied to the main item price, reducing it to a minimum of $0.
    • If a discount amount remains, it is then applied to positive-priced modifiers (if configured to be included), reducing them to a minimum of $0.
    • Modifiers with negative prices are excluded from the discount.
    • Items with a $0 price, including their modifiers, are excluded from discounts.
