Open Kiosk Configuration
Step 1: Go to the Kiosk settings
- Log in to your BLogic View account.
- Go to Setup > Configurations.
- In the Ordering Channels list on the left, select Kiosk.
You will see two tabs at the top: General and Screen Text & Labels.

ℹ️ Note: Each tab has its own Save button. When you make changes, remember to save the tab you are working on before switching tabs.
Configure the General Tab
The General tab controls how guests pay and whether they can enter a table number.

Step 1: Choose the payment option
- Under Payment, select how guests pay for their order at the kiosk:
- Pay Now (Credit Card)
- Pay At Counter (Cash, Credit Card)
- Pay Now (Credit Card) & Pay At Counter (Cash, Credit Card)
ℹ️ Note: If you choose an option that includes Pay At Counter, an extra toggle appears: Items will be held when selecting ‘Pay at Counter’ (on by default). When it is on, items are held when a ticket is submitted with Pay At Counter, then released and sent to the kitchen after payment.
Step 2: Set up Dine-In table numbers (optional)
- Turn on Allow enter # for Dine-In so guests can enter their table number when placing a Dine-In order.
- When it is on, the Enter table prefix field appears. Type the prefix that shows before the table number (default is
TABLE).
Step 3: Add a guest instruction (optional)
- In the Guest Instruction box, type any instructions you want guests to see while they order at the kiosk. This is optional and can be left blank.
Step 4: Save
- Click Save at the bottom right to save the General tab.
✅ Tip: You can set different values for each store location. Changes you save at one location do not affect your other locations.
Configure the Screen Text and Labels Tab
The Screen Text & Labels tab controls the text and section labels that guests see on the kiosk. It has two groups: Screen and Customize Label.

Step 1: Show additional text on the start screen (optional)
- Turn on Show Additional Text on Start Screen.
- In the Additional Text field, type the short message to show on the kiosk start screen (for example,
TO GO ONLY).
Step 2: Show a custom confirmation message (optional)
- Turn on Show a custom message on the confirmation screen.
- In the Confirmation screen message field, type the message to show on the kiosk “Order placed” screen after checkout (for example,
Thank you! Please keep your receipt and listen for your order number).
Step 3: Customize the section labels
- In Favorites section label on menu screen, set the label for the favorites section on the kiosk menu screen (default is
Some Favorites; for example,Most Popular). This field is required. - In Add-Ons section label on item detail screen, set the label for the add-ons section on the item detail screen (default is
Add-Ons). This one is optional.
Step 4: Save
- Click Save at the bottom right to save the Screen Text & Labels tab.
⚠️ Warning: If you turn a toggle on but leave its text field empty, saving is blocked and an error message appears (for example, “Enter a message to show on the confirmation screen.”). Fill in the field, then save again.
ℹ️ Note: Each text field shows a character counter (for example,
14 / 30). When you reach the limit, you cannot type any more characters.
Where to View the Result
After you save, your settings appear in these places:
- On the kiosk: the start screen text, the favorites and add-ons section labels, and the confirmation message appear on their matching kiosk screens. The payment options and table-number entry follow what you selected.
- In POS Dashboard: these kiosk settings are shared, so the same values also appear in the Kiosk settings on POS Dashboard.
FAQ
1. Why can’t I see the Kiosk option or these settings? You may not be on a supported version, or your user role may not have permission to open Setup. Please contact Support if the option is not visible.
2. Do I need to save each tab separately? Yes. General and Screen Text & Labels each have their own Save button, and saving applies only to the tab you are currently on. Save one tab before moving to the other.
3. Will changing these settings affect my other stores? No. Kiosk settings are saved per location. Changes at one location do not change your other locations.
4. Will these settings also change POS Dashboard? The kiosk settings are shared between BLogic View and POS Dashboard, so they stay in sync. A change saved in one place shows in the other.
5. What should I do if a text field won’t let me type more? You have reached the character limit shown in the counter next to the field. Shorten your text to stay within the limit.
