How to Enable and Use Inventory Management

To utilize the inventory management feature, you first need to enable Track Inventory for your items. Follow these steps to get started:

Enable Track Inventory

  1. From the Dashboard, click on PRODUCTS -> CATEGORY / ITEMS.
  2. Click on the Details button to open the Item Details screen.
  3. Check the box next to Yes under INVENTORY: Track Inventory?.
    • Quantity: Here, you can add or reduce the quantity of the item.
    • Status: Set the item’s status as In Stock or Out of Stock.
    • Low Stock Threshold: Define the minimum quantity of the item to trigger a low stock alert in the POS or the Low Inventory Report.
  4. Click the Save button to apply the changes.
  5. Repeat these steps for all items you want to track in your inventory.

Inventory Report

The Inventory Report provides an overview of your item stock levels. To access this report:

  1. From the Dashboard, go to REPORTS -> Items – Inventory Report.
  2. Select the desired time frame and category, then click Apply.
  3. You can print, email, or export the report in various formats (e.g., PDF, CSV) using the PrintEmail, or export buttons.

Low Inventory Report

The Low Inventory Report quickly lists items with low stock levels at the time of viewing. Here’s how to use it:

  1. From the Dashboard, navigate to REPORTS -> Items – Low Inventory Report.
  2. Click the Get All button to generate the report.
  3. You can print, email, or export the report in various formats (e.g., PDF, CSV) using the PrintEmail, or export buttons.

Manage Inventory in POS
The POS system will display alerts and updates related to your inventory:

  • A warning will appear if an order exceeds the available stock quantity.
  • Items will show as Out of Stock when the inventory is fully depleted.
  • You can adjust stock levels directly in the POS:
    • Press and hold an item for 5 seconds.
    • Quick Edit panel will appear, allowing you to update the Quantity or change the Status to In Stock or Out of Stock.
    • Click Save to apply the changes.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your inventory, track stock levels, and ensure smooth operations in your POS system.
